~Date.Current~
Hi there ~Contact.FirstName~,
It’s been a whirlwind of a month- working with a fabulous group of Cleanse with Style women, and a quick trip to NYC to speak to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.. Now I need to settle down and say…

I have 10 houseguests on their way for the week, and a huge, organic turkey that’s guaranteed to have led a wonderful life, and had one bad day.
(my husband always wonders why the cooking of the turkey falls to me, the almost vegan)
I’ll have the help of a local, organic market, with a chef that makes amazing, homey, healthy foods, in case I get desperate. (see my article below on Ayrshire Farm)
Add the talents of 2 sisters, a mother who’s a whiz in the kitchen, a brother-in-law who can’t keep out of the kitchen, and a husband who loves to make “toasts.”
I’m all set to enjoy Thanksgiving week, and never mind that our menu is accommodating diabetes, pre- gall bladder surgery, vegetarians, young children, non-fish eaters, an almost vegan, and those who love their pie.
I’m very grateful for my parents, my family, my husband, my son and relish the chance to come together as a family.
They’ll be watching the More Magazine TV Special that airs in the N.Y. area this weekend, Nov.19 at 2pm, on ABC. I’m featured as a reinvention story, and my parents are in tears already. (See the link below for your local listing.)
Blessings to you and yours this Thanksgiving - I’m so grateful for you too.
Be sure to check out the featured anti-inflammatory, calming salad below. You and I might need it.
With much love, and gratitude,
Holli

If you are going to eat meat, then let it be the best meat possible. Ayrshire Farm, in Upperville, VA offers just that.

If there’s one thing we need loads of this time of year, it’s optimism, so I’m delighted to introduce my new anthology, Optimism!, co-authored with Meryl Streep, Martha Stewart, Andrew Weil, and many others.
Read each chapter, and savor what these incredible leaders in their fields have to say about their challenges and how they overcame them.
Spinach, pumpkin seeds, and sesame seeds are beneficial foods for their high magnesium content, a calming, essential mineral that many women are lacking.
Adding in magnesium rich foods at stressful times, like the holidays, are a wonderful way to keep your balance and maintain your calm. (and use that left-over jack-o-lantern)
This is a delicious side-dish for the holidays.
